Pain Relief & Functional Wellness

About Me

Some might say I'm slightly addicted to learning, but I like to think I'm a modality collector. Even from a young age I enjoyed figuring out how things worked. Taking apart all of my toys was a frustration for my parents, but a fun learning experience for me.

When it came to dealing with my own chronic knee pain and tension based migraines, I approached finding relief with the same curiosity and determination. That's why I chose bodywork and later discovered many of the clinical based approaches that I now use to bring others relief from their chronic pain.

These days when I'm not at the studio, you'll find me buried in a project in the workshop with my husband, spending time with my family, or researching something to bring my clients better results.

The Process

The First Visit

  • Consult – We want to get to know you. We will discuss things like your current health, previous injuries, what you do for work, your lifestyle and what other therapies you've tried.

  • Assessment – To discover your current pain patterns, posture, mobility, and range of motion.

  • Bodywork – Here we will explore some proven methods to target the area causing your pain and see how your body responds to each style. Our therapies are performed with you clothed in most cases, so please wear or bring workout clothing that is comfortable and flexible as you will be an active part of your healing process. This is not your ordinary sit back and relax kind of massage. There will be a lot of chatting and movement.

  • Game Plan – We will review findings, discuss what worked (or didn't – not all techniques are right for everyone), and determine if our program is right for you. If it is, we will then create a therapy program to help you achieve your goals and give you lasting results.

We hate wasting time and money. We want you to return for bodywork because you want to, not because you have to. That said, our treatment programs require your time and effort. We seek to only work with those that are truly ready to take their life back. Even if you have underlying factors that cannot be changed, our therapies can still play a role in increasing your quality of life.
