You can trust that I will strive to help you gain the perspective needed to deal with a variety of life's challenges and, especially, that which has brought you into counseling. I consider my job to be your guide and your job to be an especially active participant. Over the years I have gained the education and experience to become certified in several specialties. These have been as a teacher, guidance counselor, sex therapist, (published book My Parents Never Had Sex, Prometheus Press), professor of psychology and one of the first certified gerontologists.
Additional training has included mindfulness training, relationship issues, grief therapy, coaching and a variety of therapeutic approaches which would be like a menu to choose from since one approach is therapeutic for one person while another is therapeutic for someone else.
Finally, I have facilitated groups for many years, planned retreats, have conducted workshops, have been a frequent keynote speaker and panelist and have enjoyed radio and TV appearances. I look forward to hearing from you and to beginning the process of personalizing our approach in order for you to achieve your goals.
